Nonprofit Group Provides Homes to the Homeless
November 20, 2013The life stories that brought them here are diverse: medical problems, family problems, mental health problems. Jobs lost, dreams deferred. But the 60 single adults who live in Heron’s Landing, one of four such residences in Hampton Roads provided by the non-profit Virginia Supportive Housing, share a common bond: they have all known the despair of being homeless.

November 14, 2013Richmond, Va. ‐‐ Nov. 14, 2013 – Virginia Supportive Housing (VSH), the statewide non‐profit organization that serves homeless adults by providing permanent, supportive housing, recently received a national housing award recognizing outstanding achievement from the National Council of State Housing Agencies in partnership with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), the state’s housing finance agency.
