Virginia Supportive Housing celebrates grand opening of Cool Lane Commons

Richmond, Va. (June 12, 2024) — Virginia Supportive Housing (VSH) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening for Cool Lane Commons, an 86-unit supportive housing community at 1900 Cool Lane in Henrico County on the border of Richmond’s East End, on Tuesday, June 11 at 10am. The ceremony included remarks from Henrico County, the City of Richmond, and VSH leadership.

Richmond, Va. (February 29, 2024) — Virginia Supportive Housing (VSH) announced the planned development of a fourth supportive housing community in Greater Richmond after Richmond City Council approved the site’s rezoning application on February 26.

Virginia Supportive Housing is now a CORES-certified organization!

 

“The Certified Organization for Resident Engagement & Services (CORES) Certification recognizes organizations that have developed a robust commitment, capacity, and competency in providing resident services coordination in affordable rental housing.” (quote from the CORES website)

 

CORES is rooted in best practices, which is in alignment with VSH’s commitment to serving our residents. VSH utilizes a housing first, person-centered, recovery-based model of supportive services to ensure our residents are receiving wrap-around care that supports their housing stability. The CORES certification reinforces our mission to provide the highest quality services to our residents with emphasis on resident engagement and program evaluation. We are proud to be the first Virginia-based organization to receive CORES certification.
