Thanksgiving Food Drive Kick-off Event

11/05/2015 - 11/13/2015 All Day
Portrait House
2907 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23221

Help us help our residents celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday!

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the simple gifts of food and fellowship, stability and comfort. And when we share our abundance with our less fortunate neighbors, we get much more than we give!

VSH will be hosting a kick-off event for our food drive at Portrait House on Thursday, November 5th. From Thursday 11/5-Thursday 11/12, all guests who bring canned food items to Portrait House or its partner restaurants (Don’t Look Back and New York Deli) will receive 10% off all non-discounted items on their bills.

Please consider supporting Virginia Supportive Housing’s 2015 Thanksgiving Food Drive by coming to Portrait House during the kick-off event or via one of the three options below!

Option 1

Donate a complete Thanksgiving Basket that contains all of the fixings for a complete dinner for a family of four. One basket costs approximately $60 and includes a gift card for purchasing perishable food items.

Option 2

Donate one or more canned goods or nonperishable food items. Needed items include canned vegetables, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal, oatmeal, pasta and tomato sauce.

Option 3

Donate a Kroger or Food Lion gift card (maximum value $20) so that VSH can purchase items for distribution at Thanksgiving.

The donation drive ends on November 20 at 5 p.m. Food delivery will take place on 11/24. Find out how easy it is to share your bounty with others. To receive a list of family basket items or individual food drive items, just send an e-mail to Crystal Stovall at [email protected] or call 804- 836-1050!
